POSTSCRIPT: Sold back to Ebradfordrich August 2015. It gets pretty grind-y if you lay into it, but it takes a bit more force/volume to achieve that than a standard 9v HAZ. It's sound is fairly similar to a US 9v HAZ but with more headroom, and a bit less breakup. This currently has a 18v SSD-era HAZ preamp (purchased from Spector Club member duff2) installed. Currently all controls have been changed out to the US NS4 style knobs (one pic shows 3 of 4 installed.) Knob setup is blend on top, then clockwise to volume, a dummy knob and stacked bass/treble knob.
SPECTOR BASS KOREAN SERIAL NUMBERS SERIAL
It's serial appears to be stamped in lightly, and is over layed with some sort of goldish paint, definitely non-standard which also backs up the "prototype" reports. This makes sense as the quilting on it is quite close to the higher end US NS2s. It was reportedly built as a NAMM prototype for 2001 or 2000, as a showpiece for the Euro line. As mentioned above this has a very faded serial that is rather difficult to make out. It originally came with a SSD Euro style bridge, as opposed to a standard Euro bridge. It was my second Spector purchase that week, but I honestly couldn't let this bass go.Īnyway, per my understanding ebradfordrich acquired this from Bass Central in 2013.
For some reason I had an odd desire to check out my RSS feed one last time before leaving (which I normally didn't do) and saw the posting.Ĭleared the purchase with the missus and promised to buy it within about 10 minutes of the post going up. I obsessed over it a little to the point that my girlfriend knew this bass' name after a few days.Įbradfordrich, likely under the spell of a voodoo curse I placed upon him (j/k) posted it one day in March, about 3 minutes before I left work.
I'm a huge fan of green basses, and was just starting to become a huge Spector convert. I saw this bass on the forums in January, when Spector Club Member ebradfordrich posted some really great bass porn pics of it.
